| Missing my LJ friends |
[26 Jan 2003|10:05pm] |
|
I don't even remember the last time I updated my journal, or even had the chance to read my friends' entries. I am so tired by the time I get done with school, work and taking care of home that I hardly even read my emails anymore. I miss this place. I miss talking to Renee and Sandy. I miss doing meaningless searches on Google all day. I love school, but I feel like my life has been turned upside down. It's really weird that my best friends live so many states away, and I can't just call them on the phone and say "Hey wanna come over, or go have a drink or coffee?"

Well, my renewal notices are mailed out, my letters to new subscribers are mailed out, my database is updated and I'm drinking my javaccino. Life is good. I have say how much I love The United States Postal Service's Web Site. Whenever I need to mail something out I just go there, put in the zip to and from, and the weight of the envelope, and I instantly know how much it will cost to send it out.

We preordered the series of DVD's for Escaflowne and finally got it in the mail yesterday. It's awesome, and the box it comes in is way cool. They even included an action figure with it. lol
Anyway, we started watching it last night and I liked it alot. I had only seen chopped up episodes on tv before, but this is much better.
I was feeling kinda sad now that Cowboy Bebop is over. :-( The next box set I want to get is Lain.

Ok, I bought this PC game at Media Play last week and decided to finally try it. I don't normally like RPG's, but when I saw the title I was interested. The game is Vampire-The Masquerade, and it's awesome. I'm way too into this game, and have been playing it for 3 hours now. I think my eyes are bleeding. lol

I was awakened at 3:30 this morning by my dog. She was whimpering in the middle of the night, and hasn't done that in ages. I went downstairs to check on her and she had peed all over her crate. She did the same thing yesterday when I got home from work. I have NO idea why she's doing this, because she's going on 6 months old, and hasn't done that in a long time. I'm hoping that she doesn't have a UTI or something.
Then I wake up at 6 am to very loud, continuous barking from her. I sometimes wonder if she has bad dreams, or feels some vibration in her sleep, and wakes up scared. I can't even imagine what she goes through being deaf.

I just had a really good fish sandwich with lettuce, tomato and buffalo wing sauce on it. hehe I figured the wing sauce was healthier for me then the tartar sauce, and more flavourfull too.

Okay what's the sense of doing a full install of a program on your computer if you STILL need to insert the CD in to run it?? I assumed that if I did a full install of Caesar 3 that I could run it without the CD, and of course I was wrong. Not only that, but I forgot the CD at home today, so I can't even play while I'm sitting here bored atwork.

Well, I ate too much for lunch today, after being up all night with a stomach ache. I thought I was going to die last night, with cramps, popping and gurgling in my tummy. I'm used to abdominal issues, but last night was pretty nasty. I would sweat, then get chills, and it kept me up all night. Not to mention Neve was up all night in her bed too. She did something to her left front leg last night, and every time she would get up from a laying down position she would yelp and run to me for protection. So because neither of us could sleep, I got up about 4:30 this morning and we cuddled on the couch until 6:30 when Adam and Maxx got up. I'm going to see if it's any better today when I get home from work, and if not, she's going in for x-rays or something. I hate to see my poor baby in pain.
It was odd though, all she was doing was laying on the couch last night, and her paw was in between the cushions, and when she moved she started yelping. I looked, but can't see anything, but felt around and found the sore spot on her ankle. I'm wondering if she just twisted it. She doesn't even limp until she moves it the wrong way and cries again. The rest of the time she's running around like normal. My poor baby.

I can't believe the shit that's going on in our world today. I'm one who really tries not to let the news get to me, but this morning was a pretty bad one for Rochester, NY.
First off, last night a 14 year old boy, still a baby in my mind, steals a car and goes on a rampage. He's driving recklessly, and the police finally catch up to him. He drives down a dead end street and then turns around and decides to purposely run down a couple of police officers standing next to their cars. So, to prevent the kid from killing innocent bystanders, they shoot him twice. He's dead....They of course had no idea that he was only 14, and now the city is up in arms saying it was a racial killing. sigh....
Then the police find 3 young people's bodies in a house badly beaten and shot to death. Not the best way to start off the day.

I REALLY wish the damn printer would get back to me. I was supposed to get all of the stuff for the newsletter last night, and it's due to be published on the website at 4pm today. I got here nice and early today, as tired as I am, and am still waiting for them to get their shit together.
